Andrew

Author • Safety & Health Coach

Fiction that grips. Non-fiction that keeps families safe at work.

Hi, I’m Andrew—an author and safety advocate from Singapore. I write for two reasons: to entertain you with gripping stories, and to keep the people you love safer at work.

Across 36 years in Oil & Gas, I led safety systems, behavioral coaching, and incident-prevention programs—most recently as SSHE Manager at ExxonMobil Asia Pacific. That real-world experience powers my non-fiction, turning hard lessons into simple, family-focused guidance you can use today.

Safety is Beyond Compliance

Safety isn’t a topic to me; it’s a calling. I’ve spent 36 years in high-risk Oil & Gas operations, most recently as SSHE Manager at ExxonMobil Asia Pacific, coaching leaders and crews, leading incident investigations, and rolling out safeguards for things like storage tank overfill prevention.

That lived, boots-on-the-ground experience shaped my book Safety Discipleship—practical, story-driven guidance for families and workers on how to go home whole.

My fiction is how I wrestle with the world we live in. I set stories in Singapore’s real places and pressures, where ordinary people face moral choices under heat—sometimes from crime, sometimes from the unseen.

The aim is entertainment with a pulse on social issues: grief, addiction, corruption, and the fragile threads holding families together.

Years Of Experience

Andrew Charles Francis

A Singapore author who writes in two lanes: non-fiction on safety and fiction that plays in the shadows—family drama, murder mystery, and horror.

A brief summary of my fictional works:

1. Underneath (psychological thriller / domestic noir):
A celebrated lawyer is murdered at a family birthday, and SIO Deborah Lin’s hunt peels back sixteen years of buried betrayals and a convenient “fall guy” to expose the truth lurking beneath respectability.

2. Clarice (horror-mystery):
Mid-2000s Singapore—a pregnant newlywed’s new home in Ubi awakens old village horrors; a palm reader and shaman race a jealous stalker and a hungry spirit.

What I Write

  • Non-Fiction: Safety Discipleship and the upcoming How To Keep Your Spouse & Loved Ones Safe At Work translate industry best practices into everyday tools—spotting risks, fighting fatigue, and building habits that bring loved ones home safe.
  • Fiction: Singapore-set stories that probe moral knots and social issues.
    • Clarice: a horror-mystery where grief, obsession, and folklore collide in mid-2000s Singapore.
    • Sick: a 1970s murder mystery that asks how far a person will go for justice—and what it costs.
